An octagonal porcelain jardinière of flaring form, raised on a high foot. Each of the main panels is finely painted in the famille verte palette with a bird and bamboo scene incorporating rocks, lingzhi and flowers. The foot is decorated with eight bracket-form panels enclosing flowers painted on a speckled green ground. The wide flat rim with raised edge is painted with flying cranes, alternating with branches of camellia.
